I think depending on how limited you make it--7K-10K(people have different limited settings they like so...=P)

Hi everyone I'm considering opening a mesh sales shop here and would like some input as to if 1. If people would buy what I'm making 2. Around how much I should sell each mesh for all files would include a rar or zip file containing all required xmf,xrf,xsf files as well psd files containing templates and the 2 flat versions of the textures I used . Anyway on to the meshes . First up is this collar along with matching bracelets to be sold seperately or as a set .

Looking for pricing for individual pieces and as a set (3 pieces). They will be exclusive to semi exclusive( no more than 2 I would have 1)

I am thinking about trying File Sales here in the next week or 2. I want to know what you think my first 2 bundles should be priced at.

1) is a glittery texture that can be turn into clothing, text, bling or anything. size of actual texture is 256x512. Sold in a flat png file. They are 6 flat png files.


2) Is 5 hair texture, and then the matching 5 with glitter.

I am going to make meshes.. and i am wondering what people
would be prepaired to pay..
Remember honest prices.. not like 3K or 5K but real honest. I know some people are meshing the simplest things and selling them for to high.. or making difficult things and wanting way to less..

I am planning to make some.
rooms..
furniture..
accessories..
hairs...
shoes..
clothing ( maybe )
poses..
what ever you can think off..

so my question is.. what would you be prepaired to pay for..

Simple base room. Exclusive, limited prices
comes in basic shape, square, triangle, rectangle, more..
a few base standing poses.. depends on bigness of room

Furnished room.. Exclusive, limited prices
comes with interior of type room. so kitchen.. kitchen stuff.. bathroom bathroom stuff. bedroom.. and so on..
will come with basic standing poses. couple poses and single poses.

will come in 2 sizes.. medium. and big..
bigger has more items ofcourse.. like a big bathroom will have big bath, shower, sink, seats, sauna, and so on.

Custom rooms.. Exclusive prices
depends on wishes from customer.
-3 funiture items. with poses...
-6 furniture items with poses...
-10 furniture items with poses..
-15 furniture items with poses..

Complete houses.. Exclusive Prices.
livingroom, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom


The rest of the items i will post when i have made them.. so i could get an estimate..

@HisCloud I've seen alot of others have much higher prices for hair in the forums. I think having the option to have glitter hair makes it fun! Gives it more options. Also are you going to do a mass sale? limited?

so you can change it to an open top, with straps, with holes.. and stuff
you get 4 xmf files. 2 of the feet 2 of the shoes..
this is made to work with the new CREATE mode in imvu.

This is how I price:

1] What the market will bear (all limited items) &
2] How much time it took

Textures
If completion is a day project, I run it at 5k
More than a day, 7k
Easy or out-of-date work 2k

EDIT: I use png files in a psd-- layers are obviously more

Meshes I do by time
Composites- all around 10k
(Depends on weighting!)

Day project 20k
Over a day 22k (unless its like a week- x that by 7)
Easy or Simple things 15k

A days work to me is about 6 hours without leaving the computer at all

To me, its competitive but still fair
People think meshing is harder and it is, but a good texture is more time consuming

Just my thoughts :]

It depends on time for me--How long did it take?
But shoes are difficult. Shaping, weighting, oi.

I would say 35k limited, 75k exclusive?

boots are hard, and those look like they were tessulated or a higher poly count to look a teenie bit better and doing that requres more skill. I would charge at least 20k but if they are a loss leader (one low cost item to bring people to your store) they are priced just right. It is important to get paid what you are worth. If everyone charged too low, it would create a walmart situation.

In the beginning, I paid 50k for body mesh with some add ons. that is appropriate. she got a nice little chunk of change for her skill and I have kept that mesh and still use it.
